I can use dd after running “lsdvd” on CSS protected DVDs.
I have no idea why it works.

Maybe try in a different browser?
I think vstorrent re-uploads from rutracker, but rutracker is what I’d recommend.
microG is an open source, reverse engineered replacement for Google Play Services on Android. It still connects to Google servers, though.
GrapheneOS doesn’t use it because they came up with an effective Sandboxing solution, and microG requires spoofing the signature to make applications believe that the service was signed by Google, which introduces a potential attack vector.
Do you think Randall has watched every YouTube video that exists?
Yes.
That’s actually not a bad idea, but who would hold that money? Elon and Ron DeSantis showed that anyone can just waltz into a government office and steal all their money.
Publicly owned by which government? Because I don’t think YouTube’s home of the US is really a good choice right now.
They need to operate out of a different country that respects human knowledge even at the expense of corporations’ profits. What exactly that country is, I have no clue.
But yeah. In the short term, moving out of a fascist country to basically anywhere else is a good idea for them.
Cartridges cost a lot more to produce than cheap, plastic discs or modern, SD card-esque flash storage.
There actually is a “hypervisor OS” called QubesOS, but it is not for the faint of heart. It’s not exactly difficult to set up or use for basic tasks, but stuff like passing through hardware is more on the advanced side of things. I wouldn’t personally recommend it unless you really enjoy tinkering or if you need max data isolation.
Jim Keller is now working on one. I kind of doubt it will be FOSS, though.
I’ve been using GMail in K-9 Mail for years. Maybe you’re thinking of OAUTH 2 support?
Not having fully functional Vulkan is going to make gaming on Linux a real pain. WINED3D (DX to OpenGL) works well enough nowadays, but DXVK and vkd3d-proton (DX to Vulkan) is where the real magic is.
With Vulkan, very low level programming is possible, which means translation layers and HLE emulators benefit a lot in terms of accuracy and speed.
I would strongly recommend upgrading your hardware if at all possible, not just because of performance, but because of up-to-date Vulkan driver support. AMD GPUs work best on Linux. Avoid Nvidia if you can, but if you literally can’t get anything else, it will also work. Modern Intel should also be fine, but not as mature as AMD.
If you really want to run games on these computers, you will need to force enable WINED3D via an environment variable, either in Steam, or in whatever launcher you’re using.
There is a fork of Proton designed specifically for old GPUs. I would use this if you absolutely cannot upgrade: https://github.com/pythonlover02/Proton-Sarek
Upstream WINE enabled it by default in version 10, so I can’t imagine Valve wanting to strip that out. Knowing Valve, they probably helped out a decent amount with that support.
The Wayland driver wasn’t considered stable in version 9.
You can right now if you use WINE instead of Proton. Just unset the DISPLAY variable with “DISPLAY=”
Not necessailly federation, but I’ve seen a lot of people prejudge commenters for what instance they’re a part of, most commonly calling people from .ml or hexbear tankies just for being on .ml or hexbear. It gets old really quickly.
Good to know, but I also know nothing about Songtradr.
If they hold the copyright to their own music (basically, if they’re not signed to a label), they can distribute it wherever they want.
Isn’t Bandcamp owned by Epic Games?
And LineageOS. Might just be a part of AOSP now.
