We use mostly Qlogic/Broadcom adapters at work, but i think it depend mostly on what hardware you use. Check compatibility lists

Give it a week for the battery saving to adjust. I noticed the same behavior with my phones.

The game history, and its always a pleasure to see news about it, this is a monument and the brothers deserves everything good that is happening to them.
