Why is this project so plagued with drama

I bought the first switch so I could play Breath of the Wild. That and Mario Odyssey are really the only two games I’ve put a significant amount of time into on the platform.

I think the reddit/lemmysphere is really underestimating just how many Nintendo fans are casual gamers who don’t see the PS5, Xbox, or Steam deck as viable competitors. They want to play Animal Crossing, Zelda, and Mario Kart.

If its an application I run locally, I rarely grep logs (they’re small enough that I can just ctrl+f). If it’s something running in production with millions of lines of logs, then I agree

Because Linux still makes up a small % of PC Gamers, so CDPR hasn’t prioritized it. Plus they’d need to have some kind of proton-like middleware (or just proton) for the majority of their games (which are mostly 15-20+ years old) to be playable. It seems like a large engineering challenge for a company which isn’t nearly as wealthy as valve

SMS is a pain in the ass. iOS users aren’t using SMS, they’re using a proprietary system which is inaccessible to android users. Occasionally a 1-on-1 text works with RCS but it’s janky

Maybe some western European philosophy professors came along in the 1950s and sanitized the idea for their undergrads, but the idea is and always has been about violently overthrowing capital owners. You discount Marxism, Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, and vanguard theory, despite this covering virtually 99% of all communists who have ever lived.

Nazis want to impose a pseudoscientific system of racial hygiene and they massacred anyone who got in their way. Communists want worker ownership of the means of production and the massacred anyone who got in their way. I see no difference.

Cuba is often shown as an example of successful vanguard communism. However it still hasn’t fully divested the communist party of its totalitarian power, and a lot of migrants move to Florida. So, it doesn’t really meet the criteria in my eyes.

Cuba is an authoritarian regime which should be overthrown and replaced with a liberal democracy. It is absolutely not a success story
