  • Claws also has a neat feature of supporting the super old, and I’m talking ancinet unix days old, mailbox protocol. Which has been useful because one of the tildes I’m part of only uses the mailbox protocol and thus doens’t allow external mail protocols (no pop3 or … whatever the other is.)

But wit ha bit of hackery, it can be done. All because claws supports those super old ways of doing things.

It’s also my usenet reader. Again hackish and not ideal, but it works.

Sad that you can’t HTML with it.

Making a thumbdrive to try things out to see what works and doesn’t isn’t hard. Software can be hit or miss depending on if you NEED specific things for work or not. Thanks to Valve’s efforts alongside WINE, gaming is in a lot better place than it was even five years ago.

OP is just trying to ragebait. Instead it seems like he is trying to Masturbate.

  • They have benefitted from and encouraged ‘but if you do that you’re no diffrent from-’ spinelessness.

Their entire gameplan has been to whine and sob and play victim while demanding ‘we’ march to where they are, while they take two more steps back and whine and sob more at how we’re extremists.

    So. Fuck 'em.

Their ‘compromise’ is ‘we give them everything, and get nothing in return.’

Show them that they are not welcome or wanted.

  • I’ve got an account with tilde.club

They even have a newsgroup service for the tilde community. It’s not full on Usenet and there aren’t any hosted files, but it’s a nice community feature.

You get a gigabyte soft cap (three gig hard cap and a week grace period to get back to soft cap) but it actually talks to google, for the time being, and I’ve been making an attempt at migrating to the point of using gmail as a ‘talking ot my republican family’ and ‘spam’ account.

  • Am disabled, though thankfully i mostly only need magnification and swapping colors around. Still, it’s me fiddling with UI element sizes, fonts, and colors to get a baseline i can live with so I only have to use zoom now and again as opposed to constantly.

Compare and contrast with how Windows has handled things since windows 8 in that theirs is a global percentage based scaling of EVERYTHING.

For that reason alone I’ve been pro-linux for the past decade. That I can game on linux? Means i have no want or reason to go backto windows. Is it perfect? Nope! There are always hiccups in everything. Yet it does most of what i want without complaint.
