Maybe, I can easily see forced communication halts and reduced ability of tech as a power grab to reinforce powers gained as well as for propaganda potential, and in such cases they don’t care if they hamstring banking and commerce with vpn/vps limitations if not outright bans.

I have some older foreign films I’d like to watch that have like 0 subtitles, seems useful.

Almost all the films and games I’ve interacted with came from a little , otherwise it just wouldn’t be accessible for me.

Self hosted retro private EQemu, I also use the server for Jellyfin, just for music.

I used to use it to control my window AC from work too, but sadly the smart plug I use for that died over the winter, was nice to pair with those tuya-alternative through http since my cheapo phone needs to save all the storage it can. Its on a very old rig, so I’m always impressed that it still works.

There probably are, there’s a reason why super high security systems aim for airgapping of sorts, and even that’s not immune.
