Hello! Good luck!
It’s weird running these things. Why was running a Lemmy or Piefed instance not right for your taste, if I may ask?

When blood is being squeezed from a stone, it does not feel nice to be the stone.

I didn’t think they could make it worse… But apparently they found a way, according to the title of this story. 😄
So this is the first non-KKK Democrat Senator from Kansas?

Nice. What are you running on?

To me this says Sremovedhorped. Thankyou for highlighting the absurdity. 😄
Indeed not. I see your point, there would be lots of animals in distress that need to be shot or captured in the field.

You can say that again!

So the most ethical thing to do is steal someone’s phone.
Nah, vets are the ones who have to put them down.

Research shows that consuming CSAM, even if it’s artificial, may increase the likelihood of that person committing an act of abuse.

Beheading a boob? Out. Animal mutilation by a feral naked woman with a machete? Out.

If that was true they’d be uncomfortable around CSAM.
Edit: Because THEY find it hot, not suggesting CSAM is hot. Goddamn. I’m going to hell.

The morality is actually a little greyer there. There is research showing that consuming cartoon or otherwise artificially drawn CSAM does in fact raise the likelihood of the person who consumes it actually committing an act of abuse against a child, instead of being an effective substitute to prevent such acts.
Therefore, it may be a good idea to ban such images even though their production is harmless.
It’s a difficult area of research, which is why it’s a shame that we need more data on the issue to inform our laws on banning or not banning artificially produced CSAM.

You very explicitly cannot. The judge may take it into account when sentencing though.

Twice??? Is it manned?

Imagining an SR-71 crewmember now opening a little hatch and awkwardly shoving little drones out, to see them instantly torn apart in the winds at the slowest speed it can go, 850 km/h.
See, this is why I would love immortality. All the people afraid of it are just not thinking about the upside, just the floating in space bit.
Which sounds fine to me, btw, humans can get used to anything. I’m a lot more worried about dying in a few decades from now than I’d be about being launched into space by an asteroid impact who knows how long from now, or imprisoned in a mountain.
Erosion, mate. I’ll be out in a jiffy.

Saying OpenAI did nothing is strange, since this was a research project run by OpenAI.
Yep. If Valve ever announces an IPO, they should be considered dead and we should all start to migrate away.
