I would love an updated key2 form factor more but any physical keyboard phones are better than none to choose from.

I appreciate the info, which of those two do you think would be the best to try to get into. I am a myanonamouse member in good standing with uploads as well as a good ratio / uptime etc so I may have a look on their invites section to see if I can get in via there.

Failing that I’ll have a look at other ways of getting in as maybe it will be beneficial in the long term for me.

Meh. Private trackers is just this same attitude of elitism that I don’t like bundled into a different form. On top of that I can’t even be sure that they would even have the kinds of things I’m looking for, it isn’t like I can browse their catalogue first to see if they catered to my niche music taste.

I like soulseek because it is open to everyone and I can just host my entire library for people to go through. I don’t have to jump through hoops to get invites and have interviews and all that shit.

Not exactly the same as your example but I love getting hard to find stuff and then putting it out there for the public to get.

I’m mainly talking soulseek here but within my preferred music genre there is a lot of elitism and manufactured rareness of tracks what with a lot of vinyl only releases with minimal pressings or digital downloads that are only available for x amount of hours, that kind of bullshit.

This then promotes this culture on soulseek of people locking all their files out to everyone so you need to either trade things or a lot of them will ask you to buy specific releases or send them bandcamp gift cards and the like, to me this goes against the very nature of piracy and really boils my piss.

I love to get access to these people files and getting as much as I can, or ripping vinyl only tracks where I can for myself or buying these “limited” digital tracks when they come up and I have the money (less often these days) and then just sharing them with no locks or trading bullshit.

I guess the point I’m trying to make is it is really satisfying (for me at least) to share this harder to get stuff that people aren’t going to find anywhere else and even better a massive fuck you to the elitism and manufactured scarcity within the genre. If you are a soulseek user with locked files reading this, fuck you!

Also torrents are pretty easy to make. I use deluge and qbittorrent and there are options in both of those to create a torrent. You will need a tracker to link to, free ones can be found, then it is just a case of pointing to the files on your computer and it’ll create the torrent file for you.

Not forgotten by me, I played through the majority of Final Fantasy 9 on my Xperia Play back when phones were transitioning from interesting to the shit we have today.

I played the original Skate via a 360 emulator on the steam deck and it ran perfectly fine so I don’t think you even really need a mad PC setup. It did push the deck to its Max though!

MaM is the absolute best for audiobooks IMO. Always have what I want, a friendly and helpful community and from what I hear the most forgiving private tracker around.

I mean I disagree. A gouge would be a big chuck taken out, a scratch would be a more surface level line where as a scuff would be a patch of surface level damage. I doubt I would ever use scuff in terms of a tyre either.

Soggfy intercepts the audio to rip an ogg or mp3 file. You need premium for 320 but other than that should do the job.

There is also this “Fairberry” project that is basically building the same thing but with a blackberry keyboard that I have had saved for years now I just don’t really feel confident with being able to put it together myself and also don’t have access to a 3d printer to make the case part or the skills to modify it for my phone.

I have wanted to look into getting someone to make it for me but when the cost of materials and then paying someone to construct it is going to start costing a similar amount to what I paid for the phone it becomes harder to justify.

Looks interesting, thanks for replying, I hadn’t heard about this. I wonder how it compares to a blackberry keyboard to actually use. A bit too expensive for me as I would have to buy a new phone and all the options currently available are quite expensive phones but I’m definitely going to keep this on my radar and maybe try and get one to try when I can get a second hand pixel 9 for a good price maybe.

Soggfy was just the first thing I tried that worked without crawling for shitty yt downloads of the same things and so I stuck with it. If the audio quality is the same then I really don’t see what difference it makes in the grand scheme of things.

I will try out zotify so thanks for the name but it isn’t like it will be any quicker as I’ll still do everything in “real time” as I want to maintain my account and not get banned as it is a family plan and I don’t want to negatively impact the other people that use the same plan.

Also I know people love to use command line but soggfy is just a modified Spotify client so I can just open it up and start what I need in a couple of clicks

You are only going to be able to get 320 mp3s from Spotify at the very best, I use soggfy to intercept the audio and rip the tracks so you need to let the playlists run (although you can up the speed they play at) and there will also consequently be some organisation needed of the files afterwards so it is far from automated but works fairly well.

A lot of the tools around take your playlists and find what it thinks are the correct tracks on YouTube and then rip from there so be wary of the quality you might get from those.

Yes. Unihertz have a couple I’m aware of but their software is dog shit, fx tec pro is out dated and over priced. The blackberry keytwo was the absolute best phone I have ever owned but that is now too old for security updates too so really isnt the best thing to have as your main phone.

Would be happy to hear of some others I may have missed. I backed the planet computers astro slide on indiegogo and they only delivered around 2000 units before stealing everyone elses money. Fucking cunts they are.
