The use of language like “unaware” when people are discussing LLMs drives me crazy. LLMs aren’t “aware” of anything. They do not have a capacity for awareness in the first place.
People need to stop taking about them using terms that imply thought or consciousness, because it subtly feeds into the idea that they are capable of such.
Raising a question means what you think it does. Bringing up a question which is a natural consequence or follow-up to a previously stated point.
The original meaning of begging the question is quite different and is a form of circular argument where the premise of an argument already assumes its conclusion is correct.
As the other person said, something is wrong if your machine is shutting down instead of just giving choppy playback.
Do you do much heavy CPU with with that machine at all? It’s possible that AV1 decoding is the only thing you’re trying to do that pushes the CPU to that degree. 7th Gen Intel CPUs have hardware decoders for h.265, so the CPU is barely used to play these back, but lacking a decoder for AV1 means it has to be decoded in software, which hits the CPU hard.
I’ve been waiting for someone to do this for years.
I can’t speak for other manufacturers, or even in other countries, but Mitsubishi Canada at least has an opt-out for data collection. You need to call their customer care number and they will remotely disable it.
When cruise control is on, yes, but it’s extremely gentle. The slightest bit of resistance from the driver will overpower it.
Can’t also for Toyota, but yes, my Mitsubishi has the option of simple cruise control without lane keeping.
I’ve never had any issue with the lane assist in my Mitsubishi. It’s absolutely built as an “assist” and not something that will actually try to take control from you. It’s trivial to “overpower” it manually and turn out of your lane without signaling if that’s what you want to do, but does a perfectly reasonable job of steering on its own when left to its own devices.
That said, I wouldn’t be driving a vehicle new enough to have the feature yet either if I hadn’t been rear ended a couple of years ago and had my 2012 Lancer written off. :(
Ah, if you need to build a .NET project that makes sense
Nuget is a the .NET package manager. Like npm or pip, but for .NET projects.
If you needed it for a published application that strikes me as fairly strange.
I stand corrected
The same priority operations can be done in any order without affecting the result, that’s why they can be same priority and don’t need an explicit order.
6 × 4 ÷ 2 × 3 ÷ 9 evaluates the same regardless of order. Can you provide a counter example?
Jellyfin has some security issues that, depending on who you ask, are either critical vulnerabilities that make it completely unsafe to expose to the Internet or largely unconcerning for regular users.
I had exactly the same experience, at about the same time. Had been hearing good things about Plex so decided to try it out. Immediately noped out when it required me to create an account with them. Similar to you I looked around and found it to be a relatively new change.
Frankly baffling to me that anyone with the wherewithal to self-host was okay with it.
I don’t really like Discord, but it supports message pinning, threaded conversation, as well as a full blown discussion forum option for community channels. Your complaints seem to be more about the moderation of that specific community than Discord itself.
OP doesn’t seem to have responded, so no, but that’s not the fault of the question.
Because of the XY problem. The problem OP is stating may not actually be the source of the issues OP is experiencing.
Finding out what OP is trying to do will better inform a solution and may make the stated problem irrelevant.
I work at a “Microsoft Shop” in a division that was a previously acquired software developer that used and entirely linux based dev stack.
That stack is still all linux and we basically have to do all our work in WSL. It’s a pain.
It goes a layer further than that even. If the rate at which that growth is happening isn’t itself growing then investors start getting nervous.
