I can’t think of any modern distro that doesn’t just have Nvidia drivers as a package in the repos.
Literally nothing will get me to use this crypto scam of a browser.
Thanks for the reminder to unsub 👌
I hate peacock in general because they purposely deny the ability to use the service on Linux. So I’m forced to use it on my Apple TV instead of my computer browser.
I only stayed with the cheapest plan in order to watch the WWE PLEs. I will figure out another way to watch. Fuck NBC and Peacock.
6900 XT here smooth like butter.
Knowing what operating system, desktop environment and drivers will be helpful for troubleshooting.
Also to my knowledge Gamescope doesn’t work with Nvidia cards. Unless something changed recently.

This feels more like a codecs issue tbh. Not a bandwidth problem. It’s more hardware lag if that makes sense.
Dude I read this over like 3 times and can’t make sense of it. You having a stroke or are you good?
Didn’t think of that but too late now. Just nuked and went with Fedora proper.
I just nuked it and went with regular Fedora and it works fine now. It was only a problem on Bazzite.
I did clean installs no addons of zen and librewolf and all of them had the same laggy stutter the first 1-2 seconds a video loads.
Did they fix the horrible performance of Firefox based browsers? That was deal breaker for me. YouTube videos would lag and stutter for 1-2 seconds before playing. Smooth as butter on chrome based browsers. I don’t want to rely on chrome based browsers.
If the black screen is after the boot loader then it sounds like video driver issue. Try nomodeset kernel parameter or a different distribution.
If the black screen is before the boot loader you’re either not booting the installation media correctly or your installation media might be corrupted. Try redownloading the iso and reinstalling it in the installation media.
Not sure. I rarely use it as is. I haven’t done anything in depth. I have only pulled it up on rare occasions I need specific versions.
Like 98% of my library is just install and play with default steam hotfix version.
I don’t like the interface tbh. I much rather use ProtonUp-QT for this purpose.
At least in my experience proton plus is restricted in what you can and can’t do.
This looks kinda dumb ngl
I never said it was an improvement.
