Congratulations on the Switch 2! I started TotK on Switch 1 and finished it on Switch 2 and the updated Switch 2 Edition is definitely worth it, plays so much better.

Congratulations on catching Carmen Sandiego! I think I only played the original game on floppy disks for DOS back in the 90’s. I can’t remember if we ever caught her…
I played some more Donkey Kong Bananza. I think I’ll finish the post game stuff, it’s still really fun!
I tried the demo for Shinobi and enjoyed it. I won’t get the full game though. It looks amazing, but I feel like I’ve played it before, as in played games that were kind of similar maybe.
I also tried the demo for Mina the Hollower. The graphics and sound are really cool, but also not getting this one for now. If I have nothing to play some time from now I might revisit them. But I doubt I’ll have nothing to play 😅
I got Cyberpunk 2077 delivered today, so I’ll be playing that on the weekend. I’ve only just created my character and barely started the story. Never thought I’d see genitals in a game on a Nintendo console 😂
The physical release can already be pre-ordered in some markets. In UK it’s £ 44.99 MSRP.
Tiny Bookshop looks fun. Would it motivate me to quit my job and open a tiny bookshop or depress me thinking I can’t quit my job and open a tiny bookshop? 😆
I’m the same with Mina the Hollower, I’ll try out the demo and see what I think.
Well I have good news for you if you were after a physical edition of UFO 50: https://www.fangamer.com/collections/ufo-50
I’ll hopefully be able to let you know on the “What are you playing” thread on Friday. It should be delivered tomorrow 🤞
I’m not a big fan of this kind of game, so I’ll pass. But I’m expecting to get TMNT: Splintered Fate later this month 😬
I was deciding between getting this one or Cyberpunk next, and I went for Cyberpunk… Kirby looks great and I haven’t played it either, but I might get it some time in the future.
Did the general disappointment from the latest Direct trigger a new Indie World Showcase?
Depending on the definition of “kid”, I never watched it as a kid either 😅 (am auld…)
It does look good and the previous Spongebob games I’ve played on the Switch are silly fun. They will look so much better on Switch 2 as well.
I finished the main story in Donkey Kong Bananza. That was wild and fun! Of course there’s still tons of stuff to do and bananas to acquire. I think there might be something more post main story, I’ll keep playing and see what happens, don’t want to spoil anything. I played a few times but for a lot of hours in a row, so I’m taking a break before I come back to DK Bananza.
I had an online session playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection with my cousin. We finished TMNT the Arcade game and Turtles in Time (SNES) once in Normal Mode and once in Hard Mode. We also played but gave up when we game over’ed The Manhattan Project and ended on Hyperstone Heist but it was way too late and we had to end it there. Such fun timeless games!
I alse played a little bit of Mega Man 11, I’m thinking of going through the different Mega Man games chronologically on the Switch collections soon…
I don’t know if a patch is planned, but I played it on my Switch 2 and there’s a massive difference in performance. Particularly the stages where you drive the divine beasts. On Switch they drop down to like 15 fps or something, on Switch 2 it’s super smooth and feels like a completely different game. Here’s a video.
It’d be nice to get a patch for extra FPS and more enemies on screen for the Switch 2 though!
Yeah, I collect physical games too, and game-key cards (or the even scammier “code in a box” physical releases) are terrible. I really hope they don’t sell well and publishers reconsider. The only games I have so far for Switch 2 are Mario Kart World and DK Bananza. I got Fast Fusion Neon because it was rather cheap. It also reminded me of playing the Wii U one which was also one of the first releases and digital only.
The only two third-party games I’m considering to get are Cyberpunk and Hyrule Warriors which I hope is also a proper physical release since it’ll be published by Nintendo.
Personally the only thing I was really interested in was Hyrule Warriors, but we already knew about it. I was disappointed they didn’t have a release date yet, which makes me think this’ll be released in 2026.
I could be interested in Star Wars Outlaws if they weren’t releasing it as a game-key card. Expecting Ubisoft to complain again after it doesn’t sell that well on Switch 2 either (release the full game on a cartridge!).
Fortunately it looks like some third parties are seeing we don’t really buy game cards. Sega for instance is releasing the Sonic racing game full on a cartridge. But yeah, I expect the same disappointment…
I’m hoping this means you don’t get so many red and blue shells hitting you when you’re first and most of them a few meters away from the finish line on the last lap 😅
Potentially some XBox ports will be shown, maybe Doom Dark Ages! 🤞
Yeah I’m not trying to collect them ail, but any excuse is good to go back to playing Tetris. So I play for a while when I find out there’s new themes to get 😅
Thanks! I’ve only played a couple of hours so far, and it’s pretty immersive, I’m really liking it.
