We just need a few hundred people working on them. 300 kites per person is much more doable. Even better, I’m sure we could find some place overseas where we could hire help to assemble them for relatively low cost
He/Him Jack of all trades, master of none
Proudly banned from lemmy.ml for a) being critical of the CCP and b) being against the unlawful deportation of American minorities

Anyone want to make it? I’ll donate $20 to the cause
My best friend drove me to work the other day. We missed a turn and had to take a detour. Not two blocks after that missed turn, his girlfriend calls him asking where he’s going lmao
I would be willing to share locations because I worry about people and don’t want them to worry about me, but I’ll toss this phone in a Blendtec blender before I install an application that gives some creep in fuckin Dayton Ohio my and my girlfriend’s GPS coordinates 24/7. Tasker does the job well enough anyhow
Because it’s worth plugging up some privacy holes even if you can’t get all of them. Google already knows my name, address, and phone number, but that’s no reason to let 5th Edition Character Sheet learn it too. They already have gigabytes of personally identifiable data on me, doesn’t mean I’m cool with them bumping that up to terabytes
That’s actually how black holes are made
Ubuntu, installed on a 256 gb flash drive as an experiment back in 2020. My first daily driver distro was Mint last year, then KDE Neon, and finally Kubuntu today
Distro doesn’t matter to me anymore, I just like the Plasma DE and will use anything that uses it. Eventually I’m gonna have to try Arch with it and make my own Steam machine
There’s an app for that

It’s not as good as a physical numpad, but it gets the job done
Macross 7 by Disney directly, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Simpsons by various other rights holders, and probably more that I’m not even aware of
Right now it’s just one plotline in Macross 7 that involves sexual assault, and some “offensive” episodes of Always Sunny and The Simpsons. From what I’ve read, the Macross one makes the show better, but I’d rather not set a precedent that lets them clip out every gay and trans character to please the current administration
I used to think this way, but then I found out that Disney is actively censoring media that they’ve bought the rights to, so now my argument is that you should pirate stuff to keep the original art available
To clarify why lemmy.ml is one of the first results: it was the first Lemmy instance. It’s only the second most populated instance, but I imagine the relative age of the site (5 years, as opposed to lemmy.world’s 1 year) has something to do with it.
It also sucks that join-lemmy.org, which comes up before lemmy.ml for me, defaults to recommending random instances. It really ought to recommend making your first account at lemmy.world and switching to a different instance after you’ve gotten used to the platform. I know it’s not ideal to put all our eggs in one basket, and there is a reasonable effort to move communities away from both lemmy.ml and lemmy.world, but for new users it might be kind of confusing seeing people talk about sh.itjust.works and lemmy.dbzer0.com and programming.dev as if they’re more or less interchangeable
Legitimately the reason I dropped .world and made an account at SJW. I don’t want my instance admins deciding what I do and don’t get to see without my input.
Of course, the SJW admins could decide to block it anyway, at which point I’ll make a dbzer0 account
I really want to learn these, but every open-source alternative to fusion has a completely vertical learning curve. If I can’t intuit how to make a 20 mm cube without looking up a tutorial, then rebooting into my Windows install to use F360 will simply be faster
Mint, because it seems like the easiest OS for someone who doesn’t know wtf a flatpak is
The other hard drive has Windows, because Fusion360 doesn’t work on Linux. Hey Autodesk, can you hear me? Make it happen please
'Cause if I was a man, I’d be the man

Ngl setting my goals high is a large part of why I haven’t achieved them
Set your goals lower to make them more achievable

I was looking at the all-time ratio, not any individual torrent, but yeah OP can collect their two golds and a silver whenever they want
🥉
You get a silver medal when you hit a 1.0 ratio, and a gold medal when you hit 2.0
I hate it. They made it bulkier AND removed options. Wish I knew who to direct my ire at. Quit fixing what isn’t broken.
