Let me know in the comments if there’s anything missing or mistake in the post, or if you would like any change.
I’m still confused by the apparent drought of S2 games being released. I’ll get one, eventually, but it’s really just DK and MK for now.
Duskbloods almost got me hyped, but I don’t like online multiplayer.
Ninetendo likes to release a game a month. Look back at the switch und through every month and you will see most game releases are scheduled like that. Switch 1 had botw (feb/march), later, mk8d (april), arms (Jun), splatoon (Jul), mario odysee (later). I guess they try something similar here with Mario kart World on release date, DK a month later and we already have games for october and november.
Yeah, how is the Switch 2 like the best selling console with 2 games? (Plus access to the Switch 1 library but even then they want to charge $10 to “upgrade” games you already own???)
Enthusiasts, and people who already have Switch and wanted a “Switch Pro” (like me). Nintendo was smart to have a large supply, so it didn’t have issues like PS5 / Xbox Series had on launch, or even Switch 1.
Also, the $10 upgrade is for games that have a patch for frame rate or resolution upgrade, even without the upgrade, the Switch 1 version works better on Switch 2 in many cases.
I never bought a Switch 1. So buying a Switch 2 is just logical to me, and I immediately get to choose from (nearly) the entire Switch library.
Thanks. Glad to see Rhythm Heaven going to be available in the west. I hope they have settings to adjust for bluetooth audio latency. They also need to set it at a MUCH lower price than 80 USD.
I’m not sure if it’d be helpful to add or not but maybe adding the genre of game to the chart. It might be fun to compare how many games of a certain genre is being released or for those unfamiliar with the game, see at a glance what type of game it is.
Genres can be a bit misleading, as technically Mario Kart and Kirby Air Riders both are racers, but they play completely differently and I don’t think can be compared directly.
I’ll look into it though. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yeah, I could see this being a rabbit hole of how particular to be with genre labels so it may end up being more work while not being particularly helpful.
Hyrule Warriors is still scheduled for “this winter”, so it could be either 2025 or early 2026.
nintendo.com shows it as “TBA”, so who knows.
